Cumulus has hired John Shomby as Director of Programming for the NASH Network. It's a newly created position where Shomby will oversee all NASH programming for the network and syndication operations.

The BMI Foundation's Founders Award is an annual scholarship competition open to radio broadcasting students for the purpose of cultivating future innovators in radio. A $5,000 scholarship will be awarded for the best original essay response entry.

The buyer is NJ Broadcasting, owned by Dr. Shukla, a pediatric physician, who also owns, 7 Days Pediatrics, located in Edison, New Jersey. Shukla is now operating the station under an LMA. The station will provide programming for the South Asian Community and it will be called “Radio Zindagi."

Country Dashboard is a new product that delivers information and audio about country music artists and the country music scene in real time. The product is a collaboration between by KMG Networks, Harris Media (the producer of Control Room Pro), AdLarge Media, and Lon Helton's Country Aircheck.

In March, longtime Atlanta radio personality and stand-up comedian Jeff Dauler (pictured) will launch a new morning show on WSTR-FM. The station is conducting a search for a co-host. Current afternoon host Mike Marino will be a part of the new show. STAR 94’s current morning show, Drex, Cassiday and Tingle, will move to afternoons.
