WDJX Host Alex Clark Searches For Love In New Reality Show
Alpha Media's WDJX in Louisville now has a reality show star. Alex Clark, co-host for the Ben Davis and Kelly K show and middays on Louisville’s 997 DJX, has a new show premiering on May 17. Twelve women will begin their search for the one thing missing from their lives – love – on the series premiere of Coupled airing Tuesday, May 17 (9-10 p.m. ET/PT) on FOX.
Big First Quarter Interest Payments For iHeart
CFO Rich Bressler (pictured) and Senior Vice President and Treasurer Brian Coleman reported to investors that iHeartMedia's total debt remains at $20.7 billion. That's basically the same as the final debt total at the end of 2015. The company has $979 million on hand and the largest use of cash in Q1 was interest on the company's debt. iHeartMedia paid $549 million in interest.
Bosch Named APD/Evening Host At DC’s WMZQ
Washington D.C. country station 98.7 WMZQ-FM announced Wednesday that JT Bosch has been named Program Director and Evening Host, effective Monday, May 9. Bosch will host weekdays from 7p.m. to 12 a.m. EST.

Ohana Broadcast Company has announced that Rella Rivera will be the permanent on-air partner for Keola Lui-Kwan on 102.7 (KDDB-FM) Da Bomb Morning Show on the #1-rated CHR radio station.

Beasley Revenue Increases 13.2% In Q1
Beasley has officially been running the stations it received in a swap with CBS for one year now. The $3.2 million increase in revenue in the first quarter primarily reflects higher revenue in the Tampa-St. Petersburg and Charlotte market clusters. Beasley picked up six stations in Tampa, seven in Charlotte, and one in Philadelphia in the swap with CBS.
Tampa Up 30% For Beasley
Great news coming out of radio's #18 market. Interim CEO and Executive VP/CFO Caroline Beasley (pictured) told investors the revenue at the company's Tampa cluster was up over 30%, while the entire market was up 12%.
Did You See What These Two Entercom Hosts Did?
Entercom Kansas City sports talkers Danny Parkins and Carrington Harrison of KCSP-AM were slightly unhappy that their hometown Kansas City Chiefs picked Tyreek Hill in the recent NFL draft. Last year, Hill pleaded guilty to punching and choking his pregnant girlfriend and received three years probation for the crime. Parkins and Harrison chose the power of radio -- and the loyalty of a radio audience -- to turn what they believed was a negative into a very big positive.
WBZ Reporter Announces Gender Change
CBS Boston has the details about long-time WBZ traffic reporter Scott Eck who will now be known as Kristen Eck after announcing the gender transition on Wednesday. “This has been a journey of sorts that I’ve been on for the last 40 years of my life."
