95.7 The Game Dunks Big Bucks To Food Bank

A total of $3,489 was presented to the Alameda County Community Food Bank as part of the “Hoops for Hunger” program for the 2015-2016 NBA regular season. 95.7 The GAME (KGMZ-FM) and 1st United Credit Union teamed up to raise the funds. For every Golden State Warriors regular season basket scored, 1st United Credit Union donated $1 to the food bank.

WMCA Host Gets Probation, Small Fine

The New York Daily News has the details about Zev Brenner who received one year probation and a $2,500 fine for not filing his tax returns for years. Brenner hosts "Talkline" on WMCA. He pleaded guilty to not filing a tax return in 2009. As it turned out he had not filed from 2003 to 2011. Brenner already paid $63,764 back to the IRS for 2009 to 2011. New York Jock Dan Daniels Dies

CBS New York has the details about the death of the longtime New York City DJ who worked at WHN, WYNY, and most recently WCBS-FM. Daniel’s son, Chris Daniel, sent out a message saying his father died “suddenly” Tuesday morning. The cause of Daniel’s death was not indicated.

A New Morning Host For The Groove

KTGV (The Groove) in Tucson is owned by Scripps, and PD Leslie Lois tells us that Krystal Pino (pictured) will be joining the station as morning host in early July. Pino joins the station from Westwood One where she was an on-air personality and music programmer for several of their nationally-distributed formats. She's also worked for KOHT and KFMA in Tucson.

Community Broadcasters Adds Four More

Jim Leven and Bruce Mittman are purchasing four more stations in Florida. Apex Broadcasting, which also owns clusters in Hilton Head and Charleston, is selling its four stations in the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach market to Community Broadcasters. The price was not announced.
