Andy Bloom's article about Howard Stern Monday quickly became one of Radio Ink's most read stories of the year. That may have been because Stern mentioned it on his SiriusXM show Monday, according to one of our readers (see below), or the fact that any time Howard Stern is the subject of an article, everyone wants to know what it's about. So, in case you missed it, here's another look at Bloom's detailed article about his old friend.

For the RAB, it had to be a monumental task organizing these revenue reports, not only compiling the revenue data from radio companies, but adding the detail from radio's largest advertising categories. Chris Daugherty has been named Assistant Program Director and Music Director at Beasley's HD983 in Augusta. He'll also host afternoon drive.

Michael Levine is promoted to PD at the Los Angeles radio station where he has worked since 2004. He began as Director of Marketing for KKGO FM. He's been helping with programming since 2007. Saul Levine's Mount Wilson owns KKGO.

On August 22 Dave Hill will take over as Program Director at iHeartMedia's Miami Classic Rocker WBGG-FM (BIG 105.9). Hill heads to Miami from iHeartMedia Portland, where he has been the Senior Vice President of Programming since 2014. Hill replaces Michael Gross who left the station in April.

The Rhythm & Blues Music Hall of Fame has chosen Radio One Founder as a 2016 Hall of Fame Inductee and the sole recipient of its Music Living Legends Award.

Community Broadcasters is putting a new CHR format on a translator at 107.1 in Olean, New York. The station, WHDL, will also be heard on 1450-AM after the company decided to dump out of ESPN and simulcast the music station.
