Tech Company To Buy HD Radio Parent DTS
Tessera Technologies has agreed to buy HD Radio Parent DTS in an all-cash deal valued at around $850 million. The combined company will be headed by Tessera CEO Tom Lacey while DTS Chairman/CEO Jon Kirchner will serve as president. DTS acquired HD Radio developer iBiquity in September of 2015.
WDVE Rocks For Children’s Hospital Of Pittsburgh
102.5 WDVE Rocks’ on-air personalities Randy Baumann, Bill Crawford, Val Porter, Mike Prisuta, Michele Michaels, and Sean McDowell broadcast on-site from the Eat’n Park Atrium at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC Thursday, September 15 through Saturday, September 17. In the process, the station helped raise $605,000 for the hospital’s foundation.
