Monk To Michigan For Cumulus
Chris Monk is the new Regional VP for Cumulus' nine radio stations in Saginaw and Flint. He'll also take over as Market Manager for the Saginaw cluster. It's a newly created position; Saginaw had been without a Market Manager. Ed Leick remains Market Manager in Flint.
Connoisseur Selects Triton For All 39 Stations
The company will use Triton Digital to stream its stations and use its Webcast Metrics services to measure listeners. Connoisseur owns 39 radio stations in 11 markets – Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven and Stamford, CT, Long Island, Trenton, Allentown, Erie and Stroudsburg, PA, Wichita, and Billings, MT.

That's the message in a company-wide video by Cumulus CEO Mary Berner posted to Vimeo. It was called the "Be a LEADer Town Hall. The goal of the video is to get every Cumulus employee to play a role in lifting sales at every radio station across the country.
The Days Of Giving Digital A Pass Are Over
That's something radio executives will be happy to hear, because it's coming from a major advertiser. Procter and Gamble's Chief Brand Officer Marc Pritchard said it on Sunday. Radio executives have long been concerned that advertisers were throwing buckets of money at all forms of digital and social, mostly because it's the shiny new thing, not necessarily because it's increasing business.

Radio managers know when large crowds gather, they want their call letters and vans and hosts and mascots anywhere and everywhere in those crowds. Craft beer festivals, concerts, and sports are just a few major event categories that radio has jumped on to stand before the people.
Billboard Now Including Pandora Data
As of this week, Pandora’s streaming data will be included in the Billboard Hot 100 song chart. The Hot 100 ranks the week’s most popular songs across all genres, determined by a formula blending track sales, radio airplay, and streaming, as measured by Nielsen Music.
Entercom Launches New Division
They are calling it the Content Innovation Group and Entercom is saying this is part of the company’s "commitment to delivering the best curated music, news, talk, and sports content in the markets we serve." President of Programming Pat Paxon said, “We are pleased to kick off the year with this exciting and progressive move."
Judge Calls For Conference in Bubba Case
It was short and sweet. A one-page filing by United States District Court Judge James Whittemore who has required the lead attorney's to attend a case management conference in Tampa on Monday, February 6th at 3:30 p.m.
AutoZone Makes Big Move On Radio Chart
The Auto Parts Superstore jumped from 34th to third on the Media Monitors weekly chart last week by airing 25,180 commercials on radio stations all across the country. GEICO was number one with 47,494, followed by Walgreens with 28,981. Rounding out the top five were McDonald's (25,162) and Staples (24,981).
KABC Takes Home The Gold
Cumulus Media’s 790 KABC was honored for broadcast news excellence with Three Golden Mike Awards from the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California, on Saturday. The Golden Mike's are Southern California's most prestigious broadcast-journalism prize.
