Steve Scaffidi will team with WTMJ News Executive Producer Erik Bilstad to form Scaffidi & Bilstad, which will air weekdays noon to 3 p.m. Scaffidi has resigned as mayor of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, and his position at a P.R. firm to join the station. The show debuts Tuesday.

Walter Takes On Washington
Mary Walter has been named co-host of WMAL/Washington, D.C.’s morning show, Mornings on the Mall, joining co-host Brian Wilson. Walter has been a frequent guest host on the station for the past several years and recently concluded an assignment as evening host at WHAS in Louisville.
Miller Promoted To Full-Time In Raleigh
Capitol Broadcasting's MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM has promoted Doug Miller to full-time as evening host and creative imaging director. His previous experience includes time with KHFI in Austin, WNKS in Charlotte, KMXV in Kansas City, and WSTR in Atlanta. Miller started part-time at WRAL in September.
Pat McMahon Headed For Roasting
Broadcast icon McMahon will be the honoree and "topic of discussion" at the Tip of the Hat to Pat Celebrity Roast. The roast will take place on March 15, 2017 at Stand Up Live Comedy Club (50 W. Jefferson St. #200, Phoenix, AZ 85003), and will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at StandUpLive.com. KTAR News made the announcement Tuesday.

Lorianne Crook & Charlie Chase were honored with the Bob Kingsley Living Legend Award for their impact on country music during an event held Monday night at the Grand Ole Opry House. Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood and Kingsley presented Crook & Chase with their award.
Another Classical Station Comes To An End
This one was in Portland and Rockland Maine on two frequencies owned by Binnie Media. WBACH flipped formats on 96.9 which is now Country, and 106.9, now a Rock station. WBACH had been Classical for over 25 years. Here are the two statements about the changes from Binnie Media.
New York Times Profiles George Noory
More positive press for radio. This time it's from The New York Times and the topic is George Noory's overnight show, which is syndicated by Premiere. The 66-year-old Noory is now in his 14th year hosting Coast to Coast. The piece sprinkles in a little Art Bell history and comments from several callers. Noory told The Times that he is "a facilitator of the truth, wherever that takes us.”

Kuselias To Talk The Talk For Genesis In Florida
Erik Kuselias has been signed as the new talker for Genesis Communications’ Tampa station WWBA-AM 820 News, and its Space Coast radio station, WIXC-AM 1060 News. This brings the Erik Kuselias News Program to the stations beginning February 13.
