(By Dex Allen) The budgets are done, so now the hard questions begin. You and your sales managers have your revenue budgets, they're yours -- you own them! Of course, it was a bit of an arm twisting with corporate because their numbers are always more than yours. But after the negotiation you agree on the budgets. So now the first question: Do you have the talent on your sales team to hit your numbers?

The Hip Hop/R&B station’s No Limit Larry and the Morning Maddhouse is hosting a 28-hour radiothon, beginning at 6 a.m. today to raise funds for the Salvation Army’s summer overflow shelter for women and children. The Beasley Media morning show personalities will broadcast live and sleep outside on the grounds of the Salvation Army in a bid to raise $15,000 for the shelter.

That question will be answered next week when Radio Ink releases its most popular issue of the year. Can iHeartMedia's Bob Pittman hold on to the number one spot? What about Cumulus CEO Mary Berner? After two years running the show, how will she rank? And, Entercom's David Field and Beasley's Caroline Beasley had an outstanding year. What will that do to their 2017 rank? All the details will be unveiled next week.

And the medium now taking in more ad revenue than radio is....Mobile. That's according to BIA Kelsey's midyear update to its Local Advertising Forecast. For 2017, the firm has decreased its advertising estimate to $147.9 billion, down from $148.8 billion forecast in October of 2016. The lighter revenue projection is due to an overall weaker-than-expected economy in the beginning of 2017, which has led to softness in advertising revenues. Univision announced that Primer Impacto’s Jackie Guerrido will host El Jangueo, a new afternoon drive radio show on WRTO Mix 98.3 FM, starting Monday. She'll be joined by Tony Banana and sidekick “El Primo,” every afternoon on El Jangueo.

iHeartMedia Chicago has hired Kaelin Roberts as Executive Producer for the Fred+Angi Morning Show on KISS-FM in Chicago. Roberts is a Detroit native who began her career as an intern at iHeartMedia’s Channel 955 in Detroit. She spent two years as an Associate Producer for the Mojo in the Morning show.

They become only the fourth morning show in the history of Country station WIVK. Tony Randall and Kris Rochester will take over for Andy & Alison, who announced last month that they are signing off from radio.

And this year’s Buffalo Broadcasting Hall of Fame will have a distinct radio feel to it! Heading the class of 2017 is the Voice of the Nashville Predators Pete Weber, 97 Rock’s Carl Russo, Townsquare Media Associate Commercial Producer Jim Pastrick, WLVL-AM station owner Dick Greene, and radio newsman the late Ray Marks.

The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, will hold the nomination hearing for Jessica Rosenworcel and Brendan Carr to become members of the Federal Communications on July 19 at 10 a.m. Both are likely to be approved and if so will give the Republicans a 3-2 majority on the Commission. Carr is a Republican and the former FCC Commissioner Rosenworcel a Democrat.
