There’s a morning drive change in the offing for Cox’s News 95.5 and AM750 WSB (WSB-AM/WSBB-FM). Starting Monday, October 2, The Von Haessler Doctrine, hosted by Eric Von Haessler, is moving to 9 a.m., and The Herman Cain Show will shift to the 11 a.m. hour.

That's the purchase price for three FM radio stations, one in San Diego (KSOQ-FM), one in Los Angeles (KSWD-FM), and one in Wilkes-Barre (WGGI-FM). Educational Media Foundation will pay Entercom $57.75 million for the three stations when the Entercom/CBS merger closes.

93Q (WNTQ), “Syracuse’s #1 Hit Music Station,” has been named Syracuse’s Top Radio Station, and 93Q morning personalities Ted Long and Amy Robbins have been chosen as Syracuse’s Favorite Radio Personalities in the Syracuse New Times’ annual Best of Syracuse reader poll. Voting took place August 23-September 12.

iHeartMedia-Charlotte Country station 96.9 The Kat announced Monday an all-star lineup for the Kat 6 Man + Cam Acoustic Jam taking place on Thursday, November 2 at Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte. A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The new Spanish Language (Mexican Regional) format will be heard on 93.7 in Phoenix and simulcast on 1230-AM. The station will feature songs from artists such as: Julión Alvarez, Calibre 50, Intocable, Gerardo Ortiz and Vicente Fernandez.

It’s called What Really Happened? and is produced by Seven Bucks Productions, co-founded by Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson, together with Cadence13, a creator of premium, on-demand audio entertainment. The show will be hosted and co-produced by award-winning filmmaker and documentarian, Andrew Jenks.

Sun Broadcast Group has expanded its partnership with Envision Networks to include additional affiliate sales support for Sun’s nationally syndicated shows, Little Steven’s Underground Garage and Slacker & Steve. Envision will continue its affiliation support for Sun’s Shazam for Radio platform, a role they’ve been in since 2016.

That Pennsylvania market (Nielsen market #72) was not mentioned as part of the original plan to divest stations to stay under FCC caps. Entercom currently has 6 signals in Wilkes-Barre, WGGY (Froggy 101) is a country station. Before this announcement, EMF did not have a signal in the market.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America has established the Gary Fries Memorial Fund to honor the former RAB CEO. Fries was a long-time director of the Broadcasters Foundation. He died this past Friday at the age of 76.
