Sun Broadcast Group has picked up The Weekend Throwdown with Jagger. The 4-hour weekly show, airs Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and is hosted by Jagger, former WKTU night jock and Z-100 NY Music Director.

Jamie Cohen has been promoted from VP of Local Digital to the broader role of VP of Broadcast Digital, at Salem. In addition, Cohen will be overseeing and guiding digital operations, content accessibility and distribution, as well as database building and monetization.

Sanders has joined WDLW and WOBL — both serving Lorain County, OH, and west Cleveland — as Programming Consultant and afternoon drive personality. Sanders was last heard regularly on Cleveland Radio in 2001.

Veteran Operations Manager for Saga’s Des Moines Radio Group, Scott Allen, has resigned, effective April 23. Allen has been with the nine-station Des Moines Radio Group in some capacity since the early 1990s.

Bob Papper, Professor Emeritus at Hofstra is out with his annual report on radio news department salaries. Papper reports that news salaries at radio stations increased more slowly in the last year, but for the second year in a row, overall radio news salaries have exceeded inflation in a five-year comparison.
