Ronn Owens Moved To KSFO
Ronn Owens, who has called KGO-AM Radio his home for 40 years, is being moved to KSFO. He'll take over afternoon drive, replacing the Mark Levin Show. KSFO was carrying all syndicated conservative talk shows. Additional changes are expected to be made at the two stations. Cumulus says those will be announced early next week.
Miller Takes Over For Armstrong & Getty
Once management knew Armstrong & Getty were going across the street to Cumulus, they were quick to announce Stephanie Miller would take over their morning slot on Talk 910 (KKSF-AM).
Report: Entercom To Extend Deal With Red Sox
The Boston Herald is reporting that the Red Sox are set to announce a new long-term deal to extend their broadcast rights agreement with WEEI. The new deal is expected to be for at least five years. The Herald reports that the current 10-year deal expires at the end of this season and had Entercom making escalating payments to the Red Sox over the years, culminating with $17 million this season.
The Sports Hub Helps Raise $100K
On Wednesday night, CBS Radio's The Sports Hub in Boston teamed up with members of the Boston Bruins for the ninth annual "Cuts for a Cause" to raise money to fight pediatric cancer. Morning show hosts Toucher & Rich emceed the event.

You might think this is a little unusual and it certainly doesn't happen much. Two Nielsen executives have written an article to tout the strengths of the Portable People Meter. One of those executives is Nielsen Audio Managing Director Brad Kelly, who was recently quoted by former CBS Radio Dan Mason saying the diary system still had legs.

That's according to a report in The New York Post which says hedge fund manager Paul Singer bought an insurance policy on iHeartMedia’s debt — while trying to get iHeart to file for bankruptcy.
Happy Birthday Greater Media
Greater Media will celebrate 60 years in the radio business, Thursday. The company was founded in 1956 by Yale classmates Peter Bordes and Joseph Rosenmiller. From the ownership of a single radio station in Southbridge, Massachusetts, the company now owns 21 stations in Boston, Charlotte, Detroit, Philadelphia, and New Jersey.
Four Small-Market Oklahoma Stations Sold
The folks at Kalil & Company tell Radio Ink that KVSO-AM in Ardmore, KKAJ-FM in Davis, KYNZ-FM in Lone Grove, and KTRX-FM, Dickson, are being sold by LKCM Radio Group to SMG-Ardmore.
