It was a five-day affair by the duo as they spearheaded the fundraising on behalf of 101.9fm THE MIX / WTMX Chicago for the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago during its 17th annual fundraising efforts. The final total: $986,673. It was the 17th year for the fundraiser.

It’s been one year since Mary Berner took over Cumulus, and when radio executives converge on Nashville next week, for the Radio Show, they'll get their first full explanation of how things are going at one of radio's largest companies. Mary Berner is on the cover of our special Radio Show issue and the new CEO did not shy away from any of our questions.

On Thursday, CBS Chairman and CEO Les Moonves answered questions at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference. The majority of his 43 minutes on stage was dedicated to television, however radio did come up, and here's what Moonves had to say.

It's the final of the big three labels that Pandora was trying to nail down for its new streaming service. CEO Tim Westergren said, "Warner has been a tremendous partner to Pandora and we're thrilled to expand the relationship in a way that truly supports both of our businesses and the artists we serve."

This is the much talked about upgrade to the Pandora One service which includes more skips, replays, and offline listening that Pandora says "elegantly handles issues with lost connectivity and cellular data usage."

TechCrunch is reporting that Spotify will go live in Japan before the end of September. The tech blog says that Spotify Premium will cost around 1,000 yen (close to $10).

It's been something CEO Jeff Haley (pictured) has told us would be coming and on Thursday the company announced it has integrated data from Nielsen, Strata, and Katz Radio Group’s programmatic exchange, Expressway, into Marketron’s Mediascape platform. And the company says these three new partnerships round out Marketron’s programmatic offering.

New cars are no longer the only way to get a taste of SiriusXM Radio. Used-car buyers all over the country are getting a chance to test drive the radio service. And, SiriusXM just announced another big deal.

The newest radio station in Southwest Florida from the Beasley Media Group is called "Playa 98.1" and will be heard on WRXK-HD2. The format is a mix of Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata, and will feature music by Marc Anthony, Juan Luis Guerra, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Luis Enrique, and other Latin artists. The station kicked off with 10,000 songs in a row.

That's what Wayne Bradley told The American Mirror in Detroit and posted to his Facebook page. Bradley posted, "I was put on hiatus at 910AM Superstation the weekend Donald Trump came to Detroit. I have not been allowed back on the air since." He then urges his fans to contact station owner Kevin Adell. We were unable to reach anyone at the radio station last night to get a comment.
