The FCC has imposed a penalty of $10,000 against Jose Gerez for operating a pirate radio station at 95.1 in Queens, New York. The Commission had already warned Gerez about his illegal operation.

SiriusXM CFO David Frear spoke at an investors conference on Thursday and said the video app announced when Howard Stern renewed his contract has been delayed until 2017. It was expected to launch this year. Frear said "We continue to work through with Howard about what product will appear on the screen. At the 2016 Radio Show in Nashville, six stations made the final cut in the Marconi Awards Legendary Station of the Year category. Greater Media’s WBT-AM in Charlotte was one of them. To be considered for Legendary Station, the NAB requires a station to have been on the air for a minimum of 25 years. WBT/Charlotte has been around for 94.
