Studio Rule, Regs On FCC’s May Agenda

May 18 will be the next time the FCC holds its regular monthly meeting, and two issues important to radio will be on the agenda. The Commission will consider a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that would eliminate the main-studio rule, based on it being outdated and unnecessary. And the Commission will consider a Public Notice that would launch a review of the Commission’s media rules and seek comment on what rules should be modified or repealed.
