My Frustration With Ad Agencies
(By Brian Winnekins) I read the recent Radio Ink article about how an agency feels about radio, and from a small-station owner's standpoint I felt the need to respond. I have to say that what the California agency said about how station reps and managers have treated them is sad and makes me upset for many reasons. I was taught early in my career that relationships matter.

New Country 92.3 afternoon team Stacey and Jonah set themselves a goal of raising $20,000 for “Got Your Six” to purchase a service dog for a local vet suffering from PTSD. “Got Your Six” Support Dogs was developed out of the need of veterans and first-responders requesting PTSD service dogs, when all other methods of treatment have failed.
Student Broadcasters Help The Needy Of Pine Ridge Reservation
The students at Seton Hall University’s WSOU-FM just completed a clothing drive for the Our Lady of the Sioux Church on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. The clothing will benefit members of the Oglala Lakota community, as well as others on the reservation.

Talent Institute Begins Today in Boone, NC.
The ten-day Kellar Radio Talent Institute kicks off today at Appalachian State University. Twenty-five students from four universities have been accepted into the Institute. There are no breakout sessions; every student will be in every session, including the RAB Radio Marketing Professional Certification course.
