Former WFAN host Craig Carton has been screaming from the rooftops that he's innocent of defrauding investors in an elaborate ticket-buying scheme where he's alleged to use investor money to pay off gambling debts. Carton's co-defendant Michael Wright is pleading guilty and is now facing up to 20 years in prison.
Radio Show Attendance Up By 156
According to the NAB and RAB, total attendance to the 2018 Radio Show in Orlando was 2,130. That's an 8 percent increase over the 2017 Radio Show in Austin where registered attendance totaled 1,974. The 2019 Radio Show will be held September 24-27 in Dallas.
Cumulus Keeping The Stars
Cumulus has entered into a new multi-year agreement with the NHL's Dallas Stars, extending its long-term broadcast partnership with Cumulus Sports/Talk radio station KTCK 96.7FM/1310 AM “The Ticket.” The Ticket has been the exclusive radio broadcast home for Dallas Stars hockey coverage since 2009.
Adams Signs Deal With TTWN
iHeartmedia's Total Traffic and Weather Network announced a newswire content partnership with Adams Radio Group. TTWN will provide news, sports, show-prep, and audio content via its 24/7 News Source wire service to Adams Radio Group’s 24 stations in five markets.
