David Bowie Channel Returns To SiriusXM

After the passing of the music icon, SiriusXM is bringing back the David Bowie Channel to honor his career and life. The exclusive, limited-run channel, which originally aired in 2013, will feature music from Bowie's entire career, from his earliest recordings through his most recent release Blackstar, as well as rare tracks and demo versions of some of Bowie's greatest songs. The David Bowie Channel will run now through January 18 on SiriusXM's The Loft, channel 30.

After his death was announced Sunday night, fans of the rock legend flocked to Spotify to listen to David Bowie's music. USA Today reports Bowie's music surged 2,700% after his passing this past weekend.

The iHeartMedia Country Music Festival Is Back

Does Apple Have 10 Million Paid Subs

That's what the Financial Times is reporting and that would put Apple at just about half the paid subscribers that Spotify has. The Times reports Apple has hit the 10 million mark in six months. It took Spotify six years to reach 10 million. Apple Music launched in over 100 countries back in June.

SiriusXM announced Friday that The Billy Joel Channel, an exclusive channel featuring the works of iconic entertainer Billy Joel, will return to SiriusXM. The channel will feature music spanning the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer's career.

In Triton Digital's November 2015 monthly ranker, overall streaming was up when compared to November 2014. Average Active Sessions in November increased 14.6 percent during the Monday - Friday 6A-8P daypart and 14.4 percent during the Monday - Sunday 6A-Midnight daypart.
