The network is undertaking a “news everywhere” strategy and this summer it’s extending its reach, including three new developments: Smart Speakers; NPR One in TV, phone, and car; and NPR News Now podcast and Twitter.
audioBoom Expanding Content
On Tuesday, the company launched a new lineup of original, on-demand audio content. audioBoom is debuting five new podcasts (one launched in February), including Very Bad Words, which premiers on June 14, 2017. The launch marks the company's first wave of original podcasts featuring a mix of shows in various categories.

Corp! Magazine has chosen the mobile strategy and application development company as one of Michigan’s Economic Bright Spots of 2017. The company was honored June 8 at a luncheon held at the International Banquet Center in Detroit and will be featured in the July/August 2017 print issue of the magazine.

ABC Radio & Spotify Collaborating On “Brilliant Minds”
That's the new podcast named after the annual thought leadership symposium led by Natalia Brzezinski, focusing on the relationship between humanity and technology. Brzezinski will be joined by Rebecca Jarvis, ABC News Chief Business, Technology and Economics Correspondent, as they co-host a special series of eight Brilliant Minds podcasts.
30 For 30 Podcasts Premieres June 27
ESPN Films’ and ESPN Audio’s new podcast series will debut on Tuesday, June 27, while the podcast feed was launched Tuesday. 30 for 30 Podcasts will tell original, sports stories in the same vein as the acclaimed 30 for 30 documentaries.
New In-Car Technology For iHeart
If listeners have the paid services iHeartRadio Plus and iHeartRadio All Access, they are now live on Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Listeners can now save and replay songs from their favorite radio stations, access songs on-demand, and listen offline, while in the car. Drivers can replay songs and save songs directly to their on-demand library.
Author John Grisham To Do “Book Tour” Podcast
DGital Media, in tandem with Book Tour LLC, is launching the weekly podcast featuring the famed writer. Called Book Tour, the debut date is June 22 and the podcast will be recorded in conjunction with the national tour Grisham will be doing for Camino Island, his new novel about a stolen F. Scott Fitzgerald manuscript that turns up on the literary black market.
The Doctor Is In… Four Million Times
You may know Dr. Ronald Hoffman from his syndicated Intelligent Medicine radio show which airs on over 120 stations. But now his podcast of the same name has surpassed the four million download mark. The Intelligent Medicine podcast is produced by Media Management Group.
Bachelorette Gets Her Own Podcast
If you’re familiar with the reality shows The Bachelor and Bachelorette, the name Kaitlyn Bristowe won’t be unfamiliar to you. Now Bristowe has launched her own podcast, Off the Vine, on PodcastOne. Bristowe will invite celebrities and Bachelor fan-favorites to join her weekly for laughs, fun conversation, and the latest reality TV buzz.
