Saga Communications’ Jonesboro Media Group and Gray Television’s KAIT-TV continued their almost two-decade tradition of teaming up for the annual Fill the Food Bank event, raising the equivalent of 535,473 meals for the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.

The two broadcast groups, including Saga’s six stations in the market, have partnered on the campaign each year since 2008.

The Food Bank serves as a distribution center for more than 100 local partner agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and senior centers across 12 counties. The 2025 event surpassed its 350,000-meal goal through a coordinated month-long promotional effort and 14 regional collection sites.

Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas Executive Director Christie Jordan said, “We are thankful for the food collected this year. This is a three-week supply of food for our operation. Demand for food is very high this time of year, but especially this year.”
