Lakes Media Network’s sellers in Southern Virginia and Northern North Carolina now have access to Townsquare Ignite’s digital advertising platform. The six-station operator is the latest broadcaster to join Townsquare’s growing Media Partnerships division.
Townsquare launched its Media Partnerships division within Ignite in 2024, offering other local media companies a white-label version of its digital advertising tools.
Lakes Media Network’s six brands are US 98.3 (WLUS) in Clarksville, VA; Legends 105.9 (WMPW-AM/FM) and 1045 The Dan (WWDN-AM/FM) in Danville, VA; 95-3 HLF (WHLF) in South Boston, VA; and Rewind 101.9 (WKSK-AM/FM) in South Hill, VA.
In August, Ignite added Columbia, SC’s Midlands Media Group as its 16th strategic alliance, following a partnership with North Carolina’s Muirfield Broadcasting earlier that month. In May, Townsquare said in its first-quarter earnings report that the Media Partnerships division roughly doubled its revenue year over year.
Townsquare Ignite Chief Revenue Officer Shaun Collignon commented, “Lakes Media Network has built a strong local radio franchise with deep relationships with advertisers across a broad regional footprint spanning two states.”
Lakes Media Network Owner and President Tom Birch stated, “We are pleased to partner with Townsquare Ignite to deliver our local and regional clients an unparalleled opportunity to access data and to develop comprehensive strategies for multi-channel customers for lead generation, acquisition, and engagement.”
