As the NFL’s 2026 season kicks off, Westwood One begins its 40th consecutive season as the league’s national radio partner, and Compass Media Networks opens its 18th season of NFL coverage, bringing football back to the radio dial nationwide.
This year, Westwood One is covering Monday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, Thursday Night Football, eight International Games, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, late-season Saturday games, and every postseason contest through Super Bowl LXI on February 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.
The network will also carry weekly specialty programs including NFL Preview, NFL Insider, NFL Sunday, and NFL Fantasy Football Forecast. Westwood One’s 2026 NFL Listening Report found the network’s play-by-play broadcasts reach 64 million unique listeners over the course of a season, building from roughly 8 million in Week 1 to more than 53 million by the final week of the regular season before the postseason adds another 10 million.
Kevin Harlan and Hall of Famer Kurt Warner return to call Monday Night Football and Super Bowl LXI, marking Harlan’s 17th full season and Warner’s 13th as an analyst for the network. Kevin Kugler leads Thursday night coverage, with Devin McCourty and Ross Tucker rotating as analysts, while Ryan Radtke and Mike Golic call Sunday Night Football. Jason Benetti, Tom McCarthy, Noah Eagle, J.P. Shadrick, and John Sadak handle national play-by-play duties, joined by analysts Mike Mayock, Ryan Harris, Ryan Leaf, Derek Rackley, and Hall of Famer James Lofton.
Jamie Erdahl and Super Bowl LII-winning coach Doug Pederson anchor Monday Night Football’s pregame and halftime coverage, with Scott Graham hosting pregame, halftime, and postgame segments for the rest of the national package.
Compass Media Networks begins its 18th season covering the NFL, with Sunday NFL Doubleheaders, coast-to-coast coverage of the Dallas Cowboys, and exclusive audio rights to the Las Vegas Raiders. The broadcast team includes former All-Pros Brian Baldinger, Steve Beuerlein, Tiki Barber, and Kirk Morrison, alongside experienced play-by-play broadcasters Chris Carrino, Ted Emrich, Jason Horowitz, and Josh Lewin. Jerry Recco, Tim Cates, Zach Gelb, and Steve DeSaegher serve as studio hosts.
