Connoisseur Media’s 103.1 The Wolf (WWWF) has hired Cane Peterson and Sabrina Sergio for a new Long Island morning show launching September 10, marking Peterson’s return to the New York market and adding Assistant Program Director duties for Sergio.

The move marks a return to the New York market for Peterson, who previously hosted mornings on WNEW and WNYL and was also heard on K-Rock 92.3 (WXRK) and Z100 (WHTZ). Most recently, he spent about four years at Press Communications’ 107.1 The Boss (WWZY) in Monmouth-Ocean, NJ.

Sergio, known on-air as “Sabrina From Queens,” joins The Wolf from Audacy, where she was heard on New York City’s Country 94.7. She was named a Radio Ink 30 and Under Superstar for 2026 in December. In addition to mornings, she will serve as Assistant Program Director.

The Wolf itself is a relatively new entrant to Long Island Country radio. Radio Ink reported in March 2024 that Connoisseur flipped the station, then Classic Hits outlet WBZO, to Country programming as 103.1 The Wolf after the format had been absent from Long Island’s FM dial for roughly two years.

Peterson said, “Every single person who ever gets a new job and gives quotes sounds like a fake goober. The laundry list of people to thank for the wonderful opportunity they’ve always dreamed about working at. Blah. But also, Robby is my boy, Keith and Kristin are awesome, and Connoisseur is killing it. So yeah, thank you. I’m ready to get to work and dominate!”

Sergio said, “Joining 103.1 The Wolf is such an exciting next chapter for me! Country music has been such a huge part of my life and career, and there’s nothing I love more than connecting with listeners, discovering new music, and sharing it with people. I’m incredibly grateful to Robby, Keith, and Kristin for the opportunity to bring my energy, my love of country music, and my New York perspective to The Wolf. I can’t wait for listeners to get to know me, and for us to have a lot of fun together every morning!”

Connoisseur Media Senior Vice President of Programming Keith Dakin said, “We are extremely excited to bring a new local morning show to Long Island. Bringing Cane back to New York and pairing him with the rising star Sabrina is a perfect match. Our goal is for The Wolf to be more than just Long Island’s country station. We want to deliver a morning show that is deeply connected to the community, reflects what people are talking about as they sit on the LIE, and gives listeners a reason to start their day with us.”

Wolf Program Director Robby Bridges added, “The opportunity to create a country radio morning show in one of the largest media markets in the country requires talent who are compelling, edgy, relatable, have a point of view, and are completely connected to both the market and the format. I have no doubt Cane and Sabrina are that combination.”
