
New York broadcasters wrapped a statewide run of regional training sessions and awards luncheons, with winners ranging from Manhattan newsrooms to small-town stations across the state and college stations on campuses from Long Island to Oswego.
The New York State Broadcasters Association concluded its 2026 regional training sessions and awards luncheons, a statewide series honoring winners of the Excellence in Broadcasting and Serving New York Community Awards. The series began in New York City, followed by Long Island, with subsequent stops in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, and Albany.
Radio and college radio stations won 65 Excellence in Broadcasting awards. WFUV won the most, taking six large-market radio awards and five college radio awards, followed by WJFF and WRHU with six each and WXXI with four.
