WCBM Maryland’s WQLL-AM in Baltimore is bumping iHeartMedia’s Black Information Network in favor of Sports Talk. The station has relaunched as FOX Sports, bringing the network’s weekday lineup of syndicated talk and analysis to the market.
The format change ends a five-year run for BIN content on the station. WQLL joined BIN in August 2020 through a Local Marketing Agreement, one of four stations the network added that month as it expanded beyond its original 15-station launch. Before that, WQLL spent years as Oldies outlet Q-1370.
WCBM Maryland Market Manager Andy Grimshaw said, “Sports are woven into the fabric of Baltimore, and we’re excited to bring some of the biggest voices in sports broadcasting to our listeners. From the biggest stories and games to expert analysis and the latest in sports betting, FOX Sports 1370 AM will give Baltimore sports fans something to follow around the clock.”
