Garth Brooks and TuneIn Split On SEVENS After Stingray Sale

Garth Brooks is parting ways with TuneIn after three years of running the SEVENS Radio Network together, a split brought on by TuneIn’s recent sale to Stingray Group. Two of the network’s stations are already gone, but Brooks says a new broadcast venture is coming.

That partnership began in May 2023, when Brooks made TuneIn the exclusive home of SEVENS after ending a six-year run of The Garth Channel on SiriusXM. The network launched with The BIG 615, Tailgate Radio followed that August, and The Garth Channel returned that October.

Montreal-based Stingray agreed last year to acquire TuneIn for $175 million.

The BIG 615 will stay on TuneIn through the end of 2026, but it will no longer be affiliated with Brooks or SEVENS. No official word has come on the future of SEVENS’ staff, a group that includes Storme Warren, Bob Richards, and Monta Vaden. Brooks said he plans to announce new broadcast and multimedia initiatives in the coming months.

Brooks commented, “The Stingray family has been fantastic in the transition along with TuneIn’s people. We couldn’t be happier with the three years we have spent with them and wish them well on their future endeavors and hope we cross paths in the future.”
