Woody, host of the syndicated The Woody Show on iHeartMedia Los Angeles’ ALT 98.7 (KYSR), has been named the recipient of the 2026 Kidd Kraddick Award at Talentmasters’ 38th Annual Morning Show Boot Camp. The award will be presented August 5–7 in Cleveland.

The award, named after the late broadcasting veteran, recognizes “those of unparalleled success, inimitable style, authenticity, exemplary service to their community, and a consistent ability to inspire other shows and personalities.” As the honor tasks each year’s recipient with selecting the following year’s honoree, last year’s recipients, Johnjay Van Es and Rich Berra from The Johnjay & Rich Show on 104.7 KISS (KZZP), selected Woody.

Van Es said, “Woody has a rare ability to connect, uplift, and make people feel seen – all while making us laugh. He represents everything the Kidd Kraddick Award stands for, and no one is more deserving.”

Berra said, “We’ve watched Woody and his crew quietly – and with style – build a rock empire over the last few years, one that has grown with class and forged a relationship with his uber-loyal audience that’s both admirable and ridiculously entertaining to listen to. That, in itself, is the way Kidd used to do it, too. We think he’d be proud to see Woody as the next recipient of the Kidd Kraddick award.”

Woody commented, “This industry has given me so much over the years, and radio will always be my first love. While I never had the chance to meet Kidd Kraddick, I fully understand the impact he had and the legacy he left behind. Being recognized by colleagues with an award that carries his name is a tremendous honor, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to give back to the industry that has meant so much to me.”
