Oregon Public Broadcasting is strengthening its executive ranks with two leadership appointments taking effect in December. Amanda Green has been named Chief Financial Officer, and Gillian Flaccus will serve as News Director.

Green, a certified public accountant, brings more than 20 years of nonprofit financial management experience, including roles with Oregon Consumer Justice, SMART Reading, and Bitch Media. She is also an educator and advocate for financial literacy, having taught budgeting through The Peoples’ Nonprofit Accelerator and serving on the board of Financial Executives International’s Portland chapter.

Green begins her role on December 5.

Flaccus joins OPB after more than 25 years with The Associated Press, most recently as Assistant News Director for the Pacific Northwest, where she oversaw coverage across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii. Her team earned the Scripps Howard Award for Excellence in Breaking News for its coverage of the 2023 Maui wildfires.

She begins as News Director on December 15.

OPB operates sixteen full-power AM and FM signals, as well as eight FM translators.
