JVC Broadcasting Long Island’s annual Food Fight Against Hunger brought together the cluster’s seven radio stations to support Brookhaven and Riverhead families in need this holiday season with a two-day collection of food and donations.

Listeners and local partners contributed 22,000 pounds of food, 60 gift cards worth $1,055, eight turkey certificates totaling $240, and $538.50 in cash. The collected items will help ensure Long Island families enjoy a more secure holiday season.

JVC Broadcasting New York VP and GM Bruce Shepard said, “Thank you for a truly outstanding job! All our gratitude to the JVC staff at both locations on both days — they were absolutely fantastic. Taking their weekend to help others, that’s what local radio does. Our listeners showed such generosity and kindness. While we started off a little slow, we ended up doing very well given the current times.”

JVC Broadcasting CEO John Caracciolo shared, “We are so proud of our incredible staff for giving up their weekend to help our Long Island community. This is how local radio shines – people helping people, neighbors helping neighbors. JVC and our listeners continue to prove that local radio is better than all the rest. I wouldn’t trade this job for anything, we have the best team in radio, and I am just proud that they let me work with them every day”.
