Guaranty Media Baton Rouge has promoted Eagle 98.1 (WDGL) Program Director and afternoon host Michelle Southern to cluster Operations Manager. She will oversee operations for WDGL, 100.7 The Tiger (WTGE), ESPN 104.5 WNXX/KNXX, and Talk 107.3 (WBRP).
Southern’s broadcasting career began in 1998 at KNOE in Monroe, LA, before moving to Baton Rouge in 1999. She spent seven years with Citadel Broadcasting, where she rose to Program Director of Diva 103.3 (WCDV).
After a stint at Guaranty Media co-hosting mornings on Y100 (WYPY), she spent seven years at the Louisiana Radio Network as an anchor, reporter, and Assistant News Director. Southern returned to Guaranty Media in 2017 as an afternoon host on Eagle 98.1, later becoming Creative Services Director and, in 2022, Program Director.
