Audacy Detroit is adding Ben Campbell to mornings on 104.3 WOMC. Campbell joins co-hosts JoAnne Purtan and Jason Raithel on the newly retitled Joanne, Jason, and Ben show, airing weekday mornings. He previously worked at iHeartMedia Phoenix.

Beginning his career in Knoxville at WIVK before moving to Lexington, KY, for a morning show at WWYC in 1994, Campbell has a three-decade career in radio. After starting mornings at Phoenix’s KMLE in 1996, he earned a Country Music Association Award for Major Market Personality of the Year in 1998.

Campbell’s career also includes a stint at WMZQ in Washington, D.C., and hosting the nationally syndicated Ben and Brian’s Big Top 20 Countdown.

Returning to Phoenix in 2007, he co-hosted the Tim, Ben, & Brooke show at iHeart’s KNIX, receiving an Academy of Country Music Award in 2009 and a Country Music Association Award in 2015 for Major Market Personality of the Year.

Audacy Country Format VP and WOMC Brand Manager Tim Roberts said, “We’re delighted to welcome Ben to WOMC and look forward to him teaming up with JoAnne and Jason. We’re sure listeners will quickly see Ben as a welcomed addition to their morning routines.”

Campbell added, “I’m super excited to join JoAnne and Jason and the WOMC morning show. WOMC is an iconic brand in Detroit, playing my favorite music, and working with Debbie Kenyon and Tim Roberts is a perfect winning environment.”
