Cox Media Group Director of Adult Contemporary and Hot AC Emily Boldon announced she is leaving the company at the end of the year. Boldon shared the news on Facebook, discussing her time at CMG Atlanta, where she also served as cluster OM and PD of WSB-FM and WSRV.

Boldon confirmed to a Radio Ink source that her final day with the company will be December 31. Under her leadership, WSRV earned its first-ever Marconi Award nomination. Additionally, WALR triumphed by winning the Marconi Award for Major Market Station of the Year. Before CMG, Bolden spent sixteen years with Cumulus Media in AC Programming.

There is something on the radar for Bolden, who commented, “My personal focus is shifting and that means that my time working with these great stations, and even better people, is coming to an end. I am touched by my colleagues for their partnership and appreciate my great Leaders – Rob Babin and Chris Eagan-who are supportive of my decision and have asked me to lead these stations through the holiday. I’m not ready to announce my next ‘big thing’ yet, but after taking some time in January to relax, recharge, and be with family, you can trust that I will.”
