Flora, MS-based SSR Communications, Inc., led by CEO Matthew Wesolowski, has agreed to sell the Construction Permit for KCAY 100.7 FM, licensed to Dammeron Valley, UT, to an in-state buyer. Gerdes and Associates, run by Michael Gerdes, is making the $250,000 purchase, with a down payment of $125,000 and a $125,000 note held by SSR.
SSR Communications, Inc., who owns stations in Mississippi and Louisiana. Wesolowski currently has an active petition with the FCC to create a new FM Class, known as C4.
The sale, represented by Jon Yinger of Broadcast Properties, LLC, a Radio/TV Brokerage and Consulting Firm with over 41 years of broadcast management experience, is still pending FCC approval.
Matthew Wesolowski, CEO of SSR Communications, expressed his confidence in the transaction, stating: “I am very happy for Mike and know that he will do very well in the fast-growing Washington County, Utah media market. He has a great vision for KCAY 100.7 FM and I look forward to seeing him carry out his plans for the station. I am anxious to hear KCAY 100.7 FM for myself once Mike gets it up and running!”
