The History of Rock ‘n’ Roll with Wink Martindale has received the “Communicator Award” from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts and has been named “The World’s Best Regularly Scheduled Music Program” in the New York Festivals International Broadcasting Competition. This is the second consecutive year that the show has won both of these awards.
The History of Rock ‘n’ Roll is a weekly syndicated, two-hour, oldies program. The awards coincide with the show’s 100th episode, which recently aired. Each episode focuses on a different aspect of rock and pop history. The show aims to entertain and educate listeners by telling the inside stories behind their favorite songs.
