Hubbard Radio Chicago is flying high, announcing Byrd’s promotion to permanent afternoon show host at 97.1 The Drive (WDRV).
Byrd had been doing nights at The Drive since 2020 and worked as a fill-in since 2012. He started doing afternoons temporarily in December. Prior to WDRV, Byrd spent a decade at WLUP (97.9 The Loop). He also had stops in St. Louis, Baltimore/Washington D.C., Toronto and Las Vegas before landing in Chicago.
