Beasley Relaunches KXTE as Hot Talk Station

Beasley Media has launched a hot talk station in place of its alternative rock-format in Las Vegas.

Starting Monday, December 19, KXTE (107.5 FM) will drop its “Alt 107.5” branding to become “X 107.5, Xtreme Radio,” with a line-up of locally-produced and syndicated talk programs.

“We are thrilled to bring this unique format to the Las Vegas market,” Brian Beasley, the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, said in a statement. “It’s the ultimate talent line-up all heard on one station.”

Beasley gained ownership of KXTE from Audacy through a station-swap that occurred in October. The station will see the return of the Dave and Mahoney morning show, officials said on Monday.

“X-1075 was a dominate brand in Las Vegas for years anchored by Dave and Mahoney and we are excited to reintroduce the brand back to the Las Vegas market,” Cat Thomas, Beasley Las Vegas operations manager, said.

Beasley provided the following weekly station schedule, starting Monday…

  • 3-6 a.m.: Dave and Chuck
  • 6-10 a.m.: Dave and Mahoney
  • 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Free Beer & Hot Wings
  • 3-7 p.m.: Dave and Chuck (replay)

“Given the recent acquisition of KXTE as well as Dave and Mahoney we are excited to re-launch this brand which at one time was a Las Vegas listener favorite,” said Peter Burton, the vice president and market manager for Beasley.
