Six Radio Broadcasters are part of the latest class of the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame Inductees. This is the class of 2021; the induction was postponed last year because of COVID restrictions.

The inductees include Mike Baxendale, the long-time morning co-host on WAQY in Springfield, Mass.; Laura Carlo — WCRB-FM morning program host of more than 20 years; Eric Jackson, the WGBH-FM veteran widely considered the “Dean of Boston Jazz Radio”; John O’Brien, the iHeartRadio podcaster and former WAQY morning co-host; and Nancy Quill, WMJX-FM in Boston midday host.

The Pioneer Award recipient is radio executive Paul Kelley. He worked in local and national sales management for several top stations before branching out with his own business, Kelley Communications. He launched the first 24-hour all sports/talk radio station in the country with WMEX-AM in Boston in the 1970s.

The Induction Ceremony is set for September 22 in Boston. More on the Hall of Fame inductees can be found Here.
