Praise 93.3 WTSK The Truth in Tuscaloosa is feeding the hungry this holiday season. The gospel station collected more than 800 pounds of food before Thanksgiving and has now collected more than 1,200 pounds of food in its Christmas food drive.
Brother J, a longtime host on WTSK, led the drive for the West Alabama Food Bank. The December portion of the drive also resulted in essential items needed for residents in Kentucky recovering from the deadly tornadoes.
“I am just so excited we’re still doing this great service after 56 years,” said Brother J. “We are using this Heritage station to continue a really important tradition and doing for those who are unable to do for themselves.”
“Brother J is the heartbeat of the Tuscaloosa community. He has impacted West Alabama with his food drive for 56 years and he looks forward to year 57,” said Mary K Brand Manager. “Praise 93.3 has more donation drives planned in 2022 to help with food and need-based insecurities in our area.”
