Burks Broadcasting in Dyersburg, TN collected more than 20,000 canned goods to help feed the hungry this holiday season. The three-station company worked with area schools on “The 15th Annual Reason for the Season Food Drive.”
Students in seven local schools collected the food which was donated to several area non-profits. Local sponsors helped with teams going to local schools to pick up the items and deliver them to four local the charities.
“The students worked very hard to collect the cans”, said Natalie Patterson, Marketing and Communication Coordinator. “And we could not do this without the support of parents, teachers and administrators at the schools.”
