Regional Radio Group, based in Glens Falls, NY, is kicking off its 22nd Annual Adopt-A-Child Program. Starting November 1st stations; 98.5 WCKM, Hits 95.9 and The Legend 93.1/1450, will share stories of local children in need.
“We announce the age and gender of a child and the one gift that they truly desire for Christmas,” said Dan Miner, WCKM morning personality. “Listeners then contact the radio stations and say that they would like to adopt that child. The radio station gives an ID number, and that ID number is taped on to the gift and dropped off at one of our participating sponsors.”
Last year more than 1,300 children were adopted through the program.
