Carl Amari will host a four-hour Halloween show on WGN October 31. Halloween Radio Theatre With Carl Amari will feature six classic radio Halloween shows.
Amari is the curator of the Classic Radio Club and has spent decades licensing and preserving original radio broadcasts. He is also a board member for the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago
Among the shows to be featured October 31: “Mystery in the Air” starring Peter Lorre, “Lights Out!”, “The Whistler”, and “Mystery House” starring Bela Lugosi and John Carradine.
“I’m super excited to be on the air live this Halloween evening to bring WGN listeners some of the spookiest shows from the golden age of radio,” said Amari. “It’s going to be a ‘hair-raising’ four hours!”
