US 104.9 (KIIK-FM) is broadcasting ‘New Country’ in the Quad Cities. Townsquare Media flipped Classic Hits 104.9 KIIK-FM to US 104.9.
“The Quad Cities loves country music; and listeners want something new on the radio so we’re going to have some fun,” said Ryan McCredden, Director of Content. ““We’ll play much more music and we have lots of ways for fans to connect to their favorite artists.”
The rebranding was rolled out with commercial free ‘Music Missiles’ every hour. The station has also hung the “hiring” shingle; looking for local, full and part-time on-air content contributors.
