KQED Sets Live Event Series

KQED, PBS/NPR radio out of San Francisco, will be offering a live event series this fall. The series will originate out of The Commons, a 238-seat multipurpose theater at KQED’s new headquarters.

“Our mission is to inform, inspire and involve,” said Michael Isip, President. “KQED Live will provide an inclusive space for personal, participatory experiences that enhance civic and cultural vitality as well as cultivate a sense of community. KQED Live will also elevate diverse Bay Area community voices and stories, adding fresh context to our reporting and programs in an informative and entertaining way.”

The inaugural schedule includes: Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Grammy-winning Oakland recording artist Fantastic Negrito, The Joy Luck Club author Amy Tan, former California governor Jerry Brown, NPR’s Sam Sanders and others.
