With the cancellation of March Madness in 2020, Cumulus says the rights fees for the 2020 season are not payable. In return, the NCAA cancelled its contract with Cumulus based on nonpayment of those fees. In September Cumulus and the NCAA filed competing lawsuits regarding the dispute. Westwood One had been carrying the tournament.
