The Colorado Broadcasters Association 2020 Awards of Excellence Gala was set for April 17, but in light of recent developments surrounding the coronavirus, the Association has decided to cancel the event.
The Association stated the following: “This was an extremely difficult decision. We know this is disappointing for all of you, but the CBA takes the health of our broadcast community extremely seriously. You are our community’s first informers and your listeners and viewers need you during this difficult time… We appreciate your patience and understanding of this decision. Please be careful and stay healthy as you continue to serve and inform your communities.”
Tickets will be fully refunded and both the Grand Hyatt and Holiday Inn Express will provide a no-penalty cancellation for any rooms already booked. The CBA recommends contacting your hotel and cancelling your room reservations as soon as possible.
Awards of Excellence winners and Certificate of Merit recipients will be posted on the CBA’s website, April 17, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. Plaque and certificate delivery arrangements will be announced shortly thereafter.
