Montgomery, who is PD and on-air personality for Urban AC station KVMA Magic 102.9 in Shreveport, LA, was honored for her contributions to the city’s African-American community at the Shreveport-Bossier-DeSoto African-American Scholarship Awards Banquet on Saturday.
A staple in Shreveport radio for over 20 years, Montgomery was honored along with 11 other community members. The honorees were recognized for making significant contributions to African-American history.
Aaron Criswell, Cumulus Shreveport VP/Market Manager, said, “Nina has been a spark of light for the African-American Community in Shreveport and Bossier City for many years. She has committed to spread this light to the community and listeners of Urban AC powerhouse KVMA-FM, day in and day out.”
