New Lineup At The Ticket After Rhyner Retirement

Last month, after 26 years on the air, WTCK Dallas afternoon host Mike Rhyner announced his retirement. Bob Sturm (pictured) will move from middays to afternoons and co-host with Corby Davidson. Sturm joined the station back in 1999 and has co-hosted the 12:00pm-3:00pm slot with Dan McDowell since 2000.

Also, Jake Kemp has been promoted from producer to co-host with McDowell. McDowell and Kemp have been with The Ticket since 2000 and 2009, respectively.

Cumulus Dallas Market Manager Dan Bennett said, “Bob Sturm has earned the trust and following from our listeners for over 20 years and is one of the finest sports talk talents in America. This move made perfect sense and we are excited to entertain our listeners with the new afternoon drive team of Bob Sturm and Corby Davidson, and with Jake Kemp and Dan McDowell for BaD Radio in middays.”

  1. Bob Sturm is a great talent. I believe he’s only had 2 jobs in radio. We got him at WLNI when he graduated from college, he moved from Lynchburg, VA to Dallas and has been at the same station ever since. Congratulations to Bob, one of a kind!
