Mike Rhyner Retires From “The Ticket” In Dallas

In dramatic fashion, in a video posted to Twitter, the co-host of The Hardline afternoon show on the Cumulus-owned sports station, retired, surprising everyone. The 69-year-old Rhyner has co-hosted the show for 26 years. He recorded the 6-minute video over the holiday break stating that the time was right to step away.

Market Manager Dan Bennett was the only person who knew Rhyner might retire. Here’s what Bennett shared with Radio Ink, “Mike Rhyner is an iconic figure in the story of The Ticket. He came up with the name 26 years ago and was the station’s first PD. The guy was a true visionary and we are all better for having worked with him.”
