KKYX midday host Courtney Nelson (air name Dave Brooks) died in a motorcycle crash over the weekend. The station announced the news of the Saturday, December 14, crash on its website.
Nelson spent time in El Paso at KLAQ in several programming and operations positions. He hosted the KLAQ Courtney and Big Al Morning Show, before moving to San Antonio with his family in 2012.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
