In an internal memo to Entercom staff, COO Weezie Kramer announced that Jimmy de Castro, who oversees the Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee markets for the company, is retiring to focus on his own sports marketing and consulting company, After the Whistle.
De Castro came to Entercom about two years ago, following the CBS Radio merger. He will remain in his current role as SVP/market manager through mid-December while the leadership transition is in the works.
Kramer expressed her personal and professional gratitude to de Castro and wrote, “Jimmy was tasked with breathing new energy and positivity as we embarked on our journey as a new team. And, Jimmy delivers. His spark, creativity, experience, and business acumen were just what we need to improve our brands, our culture, our business, and our building in Chicago.”
