Activists Using Radio To Slam Ohio State

The new radio ads being run by The Ohio State Accountability Project are attempting to use theatre of the mind to paint former college Dr. Richard Strauss as a monster. Here’s a portion of the ad…

“You’ve probably heard the disturbing stories about Dr. Richard Strauss, who according to reports, assaulted 177 student-athletes at Ohio State. But what you may not have heard is investigators discovered coaches and administrators knew what was happening but did nothing to stop it. For 18 years, Strauss abused college students and OSU officials looked the other way. Ohio State protected a monster.”

A recent report concluded that what Strauss did to Ohio State athletes was an open secret.

OSAP spokesman Ian Prior told NBC News the focus of the ads is to point out the failure of the administration during Strauss’ tenure and to ensure students are kept safe. “OSU is a national brand. This is a national problem. There are over 500,000 living alums. We plan to have an honest dialogue with them from coast to coast.”
